I just got put on Lamitcal and Lexapro and I am so sick when I first take them that if I move from my seat I am going to vomit. This happened yesterday (first day taking) and today I took with food and it still is happening. Is this a common reaction that will go away?

John T. say: You didn't say what doses of the medications you're taking, if they are too large of a dose at the beginning, your system will have a tough time breaking in to them. You need to talk about that with your doctor. I took Lexapro several years ago. I didn't vomit or anything, but I turned suicidal. As for the vomiting - I recently tried Abilify, and it made me vomit every evening. So that one's off my list. Personally, if something made me vomit, I wouldn't take it. But that's just me. And watch out for suicidal thoughts while you're on it. Lexapro screwed me up bigtime. But once I got off it, I was okay. Good luck with the sick stomach.
